Spiritual Journey through Peru- 10 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco 

Airport: Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ), Cusco. 

Transportation: The client arrives in Cusco and is greeted at the airport. 

Accommodation: Overnight at a boutique hotel in Cusco’s historic center. 

Activity:

• Rest and acclimatization (Cusco is at about 3,400 meters above sea level, so time is needed to adjust to the altitude). 

• Evening: A light city tour of Cusco, visiting Plaza de Armas and the Cusco Cathedral. 

 

Day 2: Cusco and Surrounding Inca Sites 

Breakfast: At the hotel. 

Activity:

• Guided tour of nearby Inca sites: 

• Sacsayhuamán: A powerful Inca fortress with impressive stonework. 

• Q'enqo and Puka Pukara: Religious Inca complexes. 

Lunch: At a restaurant with views over the valley.

Afternoon: Visit Tambomachay, a water temple, where a symbolic water ceremony can be performed to celebrate the spiritual connection with nature. 

Accommodation: Cusco. 

 

Day 3: Sacred Valley and Pisac 

Transportation: Private minivans. 

Activity:

• Departure for the Sacred Valley – a sanctuary for natural and spiritual connection. 

• Visit Pisac, an ancient Inca town known for its spiritual energy and terraced fields. 

Pisac Market: An opportunity to buy authentic handicrafts and spiritual amulets. 

Rituals: Participate in shamanic ceremonies with local shamans, performing purification and soul-cleansing rituals. 

Lunch: In a local restaurant in Pisac. 

Accommodation: Overnight in Ollantaytambo, in the Sacred Valley. 

 

Day 4: Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu 

Early Breakfast: At the hotel. 

Transportation: Train to Aguas Calientes (the town at the base of Machu Picchu). 

Activity:

• Visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Machu Picchu: 

• Guided tour of the ancient Inca city. 

• Time for meditation and personal reflection in this mystical place. 

Lunch: At a restaurant in Aguas Calientes. 

Accommodation: Overnight in Aguas Calientes (near Machu Picchu). 

 

Day 5: Maras and Moray – Energy Centers 

Transportation: Return to the Sacred Valley by train. 

Activity:

• Visit Moray, an ancient site with circular terraces used not only for agriculture but also for spiritual ceremonies by the Incas. 

• Shamanic Ceremony: Participate in rituals that reconnect with Mother Earth (Pachamama). 

Lunch: At a local village restaurant, offering vegetarian Indian dishes. 

Accommodation: Overnight in Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley. 

 

Day 6: Iquitos and the Amazon Jungle 

Morning: Early breakfast at the hotel.  

Flight: From Cusco to Iquitos. 

Activity:

• Iquitos – the gateway to the jungle. Upon arrival, take a boat to an Amazon jungle eco-lodge. 

Afternoon: Lunch in the jungle 

First experience of the jungle: Canopy walkways and learning about medicinal plants. 

Accommodation: Overnight in the jungle lodge. 

 

Day 7: Meeting with a Shaman and Ayahuasca Ceremony 

Morning: Breakfast in the jungle 

Activity:

• Jungle exploration, learning about the local fauna and flora. 

• Meet with a local Amazonian shaman. 

• In the evening, participate in a traditional Ayahuasca ceremony – a profound spiritual experience, where shamans lead meditation sessions. 

Accommodation: Jungle lodge. 

 

Day 8: Relaxation in the Amazon 

Morning: Breakfast in the jungle.

Activity:

• Rest day following. Time for reflection, meditation, and personal contemplation. 

• Jungle hikes and boat rides, observing the Amazon’s wildlife. 

Afternoon: Lunch in the jungle 

• Personal conversation with the shaman.

Accommodation: Jungle lodge. 

 

Day 9: Return to Iquitos and Back to Cusco 

Morning: Breakfast in the jungle.

Transportation: Boat returns to Iquitos. 

Activity:

• After a morning return to Iquitos, afternoon flight back to Cusco, city exploration. 

Afternoon: Lunch at the local restaurant. 

Accommodation: Hotel in Cusco’s city center. 

 

Day 10: Departure 

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel 

Flight: From Cusco to a Lima Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) that connects to flights back to Germany. 

Summary: The client departs for their international flight.
